1984 Harley-Davidson FXRS Low Glide - $7,995
This 84 FXRS Low Glide is in excellent original condition with factory 2 tone Burgundy & Silver paint that is in extremely good condition. Overall bike does not show its age. Paint is excellent with only a couple small rock chips on tank and a scrape on the left front corner of front fender. There are also a couple of chips and scratches on the frame. All chrome is in nice shape with the exception of the fender struts that show light corrosion and bubbling. Some of the clear coat is pealing on the primary and there is also a scrape on the bottom of the outer primary cover. See all detailed photos. Current odometer reading is 19,673 and is believed to be correct. I bought the bike from a dealer that took in trade and was told that original owner traded it in. ( Not able to verify – but from appearance of bike could be true)
Powered by the original rubber mounted strong running 80 cubic inch (1340cc) evolution V-Twin with an S&S super carb and original staggered dual exhaust followed up with a 5 speed transmission and chain final drive this bike is a pleasure to ride. Wheels, tires and brakes all in excellent condition. Bike was just serviced and tuned, stator and battery replaced and is ready to get on and ride!
The FXR was designed to compete against all the foreign motorcycles that were dominating the marketplace in the late 70s & early 80s and is one of Harley-Davidson’s best handling bikes ever built. Extremely popular bike with a huge cult following. Eric Buell was instrumental in the design of the FXR and his racing background definitely shows in the way these bikes handle.
