All seats have removable head rests. Photos show options for seating, sleeping etc. I purchased this van from a dealer friend in Portland Oregon and drove it home to Redondo Beach California. Started out on I-5 to Grants Pass then Hwy 199 to the Coast Route HWY 101 and Coast HWY 1 all the way home. The Van performed quite well and got a great work out with steep winding mountain passes and scenic side trips through different weather conditions. I even spent the day at Pismo Beach cruising on the beach and playing in the sand. (see video) Cruising 65 - 75 mph was not a strain at all but the steep hills did slow me down and requires downshifting to lower gears at times. Averaged about 18 - 19 mpg with the worst being 13 mpg through the very steep terrain to a high of 21 mpg on flat highway stretches. I also slept in the van several nights and found it quite comfortable with the use of a light thin air mattress and sleeping bag on top of the laid flat seats (I am about 5'10" and had lots of room). The pop open side windows provided excellent ventilation and with windows closed stay comfortable and quiet. The glass panoramic roof was real nice and provided a great view of the trees and sky!

Only drawback to driving this van is that everyone that sees it wants to talk to you about it. Come to think of it I met a LOT of really nice people on the road, so more of a bonus!

Lots of fun to drive and draws a ton of attention!

VIN on Title: 01048172 Assigned VIN From Japan on Chassis: -048172 DATA PLATE NUMBER From NISSAN FACTORY: KUGNC22-058289

I made some phone calls about the VIN and paperwork on vehicles from Japan.

1)      The Prefectures do often assign a VIN instead of using the numbers on DATA PLATE

2)      The Tag affixed to the frame has a symbol {1] that is interpreted as (01) in front of the – 048172 in this case.

3)      The number (01) does not represent the Prefecture that assigned the VIN

4)      All paperwork from Japan uses the following digits as (01)-048172

5)      The title follows suit with all Japanese paperwork, all import documents, EPA & CUSTOMS Declaration documents.

6)      There should be no problem transferring title in any state

7)      It may also be possible for the next owner to request that DATA PLATE number used on title .

Please note the Custom Oregon Plate is NOT INCLUDED in the sale.
